    Kudos Thread

Kudos to those who come visit me in the blacksmith, be it for idle chit-chat or specific things such as armor alterations and some such! Massive shout-out to Maude and Mary for the fantastic consistency they continue to provide in the face of a shifting server. Also, the Dwarf Dungeon Delvers...

More mid-range lodging options within Murann

You literally read my mind! I was just thinking the other day that it would be interesting to have lodging houses around the square or market for the caste between serf and noble. Even when player housing is introduced, it would be interesting to see (perhaps player-owned) lodging houses where...

    Loot Table Changes - Feedback

First off, looting is way more fun now! Like, incredibly more fun, so let's get that out of the way to begin with. Love it, vast improvement. But.... (There's always a but) Are others finding items that are pretty strong compared to what we've seen regularly? In the past two days, I've played...

    Lock !Item

Another addition to the !item lock would mean that certain items can't by copied or, if they are to be copied, there should be some cost sink to it such as a printing press for X silver. An example of this is people now selling the Lacewhisper books even though, to my knowledge, whoever made...

    Lock !Item

Very quick suggestion! I do not believe there is currently the ability to "lock" an item from being edited after the fact. For instance, I could write a book and hand it off for someone to rewrite it later. Or an item which I've given a unique flourish to, and so forth, it would be awesome to be...

    Prison

I love this. When I was a guard, I was always reluctant to jail individuals because it felt like an RP stoppage and would do more harm than good. However, at the same time, I took issue with relying on fines so often, especially with the economy in such a strange place.

    Sumptuary laws

While it would perhaps be fitting for the setting, the guard has been advised not to fuss players over similar things as this, and players have voiced upset about things in a similar sphere, as it can be seen as disruptive to RP.

    Sumptuary laws

Sadly, I think this would be a nightmare to police and just add to more irritation among players based on feedback with other topics meaning it'd take away more than it'd add.

    Bard Song is Overpowered

I may have missed any suggestions regarding changing its range, fall-off, or otherwise, but that is not what should be changed. There is nothing wrong with how Bard Song works; the issue stems from how long it lasts. And even then, I'm not saying it should be hamstrung completely; none of the 10...

    Two-Handed Superiority

Okay, thank you. That helps me with future suggestions. Perhaps some flat damage reduction might be in order, then, rather than Damage Immunity. It's of my understanding that DI is very small, usually being no more than 1 point currently, and that goes for almost everyone wearing armour or...

    Two-Handed Superiority

Perhaps it might be a case of upping the numbers a little? Make a large shield 3- 4 AC and a Tower 5- 6 AC? With enemy AB the way it is, they'll still check you often.

    Bard Song is Overpowered

I think this is where we start getting into the weeds, when it comes to eroding the theme for content, when the content on an RP server should be the RP. Obviously, the counterpoint to that is RPing in dungeons. There's more nuance to be had when you start including the idea of a more robust...

    Two-Handed Superiority

Then I rescind my point. But again, using Towershields, we're penalised, even -1 AB is rather huge in the scale of TDN. I actually wonder if any AB reduction is a little harsh. Also, the DI doesn't really matter at this level of loot, and I have a feeling it won't really get much better in the...

    Bard Song is Overpowered

I think bringing the Warden capstone abilities in somewhat of a moot point, overpower being just a flat AC bonus, which, at level 14, is 1 (to a max of 3 at 18), and shieldwall is arguably a questionable ability in terms of usefulness until we can use it to see for ourselves. The Warden also...

    Two-Handed Superiority

If they buff Tower Shields, everyone uses a tower shield because the Large makes no sense. Shield-specific feats need to be introduced to bring them in line with two-handers, some of which could/should be free for some martial classes. Alternatively, something needs to be done stats-wise to...

    Weapon Focus groups

Just a side idea, and this might be silly but what the hell, what about simplifying it to; One-handed, Two-handed, Ranged. Or would this be oversimplified to the point of being broken?

    Two-Handed Superiority

To put a fine point on it; I feel penalised for wanting to use a sword and shield. Enemies have such high AB, I'm getting hit regardless of that +2 AC, killings things faster means I get hit less and therefore theres no reason for me to use a 2hander. Aggro is generated off damage, as a...

    Undead Changes: Experiences and Suggestions

OP has hit the nail on the head in terms of my feelings. I enjoy the fact that other dungeons are being shifted in terms of difficulty, but the undead always felt like a risk vs reward scenario and something to be afraid of, cautious and otherwise uncertain about facing. Now? They miss that...

    Bard Song is Overpowered

But long-duration buffs counter the thematic ideas painted by the server lore, as that is pretty powerful magic. Should they run longer? Sure... Hours? Holy shit no. A turn is 1 minute. If you added your Casting Modifer as extra turns, you could be casting, for example, Bull's Strength that...

    Bard Song is Overpowered

The argument I'd have for mages being able to do that is... That's all they do? And they're hamstrung pretty badly for it. Certainly, it could be a 10d6 fireball that has friendly fire, leaves them vulnerable to Aoo, has saving throws and a cool down for 3 minutes. They wear no armour, can't...
