Herona Blackforge, a gold dwarf hailing from the southern region of the Great Rift like so many others of her kin, Herona grew up in a traditional, well-off household during the Thunder Blessing with many siblings. With shoulder length light brown hair, green eyes flecked with hazel, and a duty tanned skin like so many others of her kind, she was a proud daughter of a well off family of merchants and blacksmiths. Growing up in such a clan, it wasn’t long until she was not only interested in the crafts but also how to wield the tools of war that were more often than not created by her family.
Her, and many siblings and cousins alongside her who grew and learned together learned to train and fight together, learning about the wonders of the world through vast knowledge her race have collected throughout the ages. Though it was not long until she and many others of her kind left the safety of the mountains for new lands to find and learn about, firsthand. It was not uncommon to see many Gold Dwarves leaving in droves, forming sub-clans to found or rediscover old forts on their own, as due to the Thunder Blessing, their home was swelling with too large a population.
And so that was what Herona did, with a handful of her kin. Traveling North for a time though, it wasn’t long until the unknown of the lands and cities. Ideas and plans changed, new information found, or ambitions grew to boiling points. The desire to garner wealth and status to those back home festered in the minds of many of her kin. To Herona however, she did not care for it as much as others born in her time. Though the thought of continuing to travel northward to the lands inhabited by her northern shield-kinfolk did sound intriguing.
And so she did just that.
Alone but determined to forge her own way, Herona Blackforge continued to travel North, alone. Though the trek was not without perils, she relied on her training and guidance by Moradin and Haela Brightaxe and the Morndinsamman.
Reaching the edge of the Waeldath and the town of Mosstone, it wasn’t long until she found herself amidst the chaos of battle and war through the land of both Amn and Tethyr. Not one to shy from a fight or leave those helpless to fend for themselves, Herona had now found a new purpose. Quickly integrating herself with a group of Human Knights and Druids defending the northern woods around Trademeet and Brost, she helped fend off the Winter Horde. Many skirmishes and battles welcomed the young Gold Dwarf as she arrived to the lands, gathering whatever information as per her original quest as she remained in the region, as a sort of scholar/mercenary. Finally arriving in the city of Murann in the year of 1369, it is where she remains now, eager to explore the lands further and find signs of the struggles of her shield-kin cousins and whatever else would tickle her interest. She did leave her homeland to learn more about the world afterall.
