With the added paths to enter the Wealdath along the Tethir Road, the pathway, I would like to suggest a fun "Access Restriction" into the Wealdath from the Sangrue Foothills, Along the Sangrue & Blood Gulch areas...

If you go up that way, there are a ton of these red flower beds all over the path, circled in yellow below... Since there are so many ways to get into the Wealdath, what if we made all these flower patches into "Sleeping FLowers" ... that if you enter any of the RED flowered areas, they would emit a pollon that creates a sleep spell effect with a decently high enough DC that failing it would be pretty much a certain thing... to the point where it would just be so annoying to get yourself out of it, that it motivates you to stay the hell away from them.

They could be arranged so that a very zig-zagged path that was VERY narrow 'could' be navigated with great care to get through them, but one mistep and it's SLUMBERLAND for you!

--Of course, the elves, being immune to sleep would be unaffected.

it would sort of force non-elves to use the Tethir road access into/out of the Wealdath, while allowing this path a bit of a wall-less defense to access the Wealdath so close to the entrance to Y'Tellarien... considering the 'other' way... coming in from the Tehtir Road, at least you run the risk of having to fight bugbears or even a chance of having to get past a Collosal Spider!

but, coming up from the Gulch? you can get into the Wealdath from Trademeet with only dealing with MAYBE a few wolves.

These "Slumber FLowers" would be a nice addition to the 'defense' of Y'Tellarien, making it not impenetrable from that direction, but certainly interesting RP if a non-elf chose to go that direction for whatever reason.

This seems like a lot of effort for little reward aside from being a nuisance and deterrent from players interacting. Being force slept doesn't feel good, particularly as suggested.

As a druid player but not an elf, who approaches the wealdath from any which way, this would put me off of interacting with the area at all. This feels like an anti-player deterrent as opposed to an anti-character deterrent.

I'm not suggesting every area that enters the Wealdath be riddled with sleeping flowers, if that is your worry.

As it stands now, any character exploring the Sangrue Areas who IC has never been to the Circle ... which is not just a handful of druids, but Y'Tellarien is the entire population of Elves that reside in that part of the forest... anyone wandering up IC from the Blood Gulch, following the river, the very first "Wealdath" area you're AT the entrance... and we just had a threat of a possible invasion. being so close to the edge of the forest.. i mean.. RIGHT AT the edge of the forest.. it makes sense the elves would add some sort of deterrent, and 'walls' aren't really elven style.

And if you recall this path USED to not be accessible to the Wealdath, for 6-months everyone who accessed the Circle had to come from the Trade Road... and even then people were saying the Circle's location was too easy to find.

in my suggestion I also mentioned that there 'could' be a narrow zig-zag path through the flowers to access that path.

What the Slumber Flowers does is restict fast movment, like running, and makes it near impossible for an invading force to march up the Blood Gulch and attack the elves from that direction.

IC it makes sense given the IG events, and it doesn't make the circle any more difficult to get to than it was back in the spring.

My counter suggestion would be to open a plot ticket and pursue this IG. It would involve more players this way, and give weight to it if it does happen.
