Fabino Alosio

Fabino's life began when he was dropped off on the stoop of the Temple to Lathander in Athkatla. It's unknown why, as no note was left, but it's safe to assume given the City of Coin's reputation it was as simple as they couldn't afford to keep him. The Temple took him in, and raised him up. Their efforts shielded him from the worst of the corruptions of the city, and allowed him to grow up hopeful and kind.

From the start however, it was clear that Fabino was a bit...different. On the one hand, he was very handsome and athletic, always climbing trees and running everywhere. On the other, he was a bit dim, lagging behind in his studies and constantly mystified by the world around him. They tried to instill a sense of discipline in him by assigning him to a Sun Soul monk for training, and although this did provide order to his life it didn't seem to help him with his schooling.

Over time though, this combination of a kind and innocent heart matched with a bit of a simple mind made him seem like a model Lathanderite. He was quick to offer charity to those in need, regardless of the complexities of the situation. During the time when magic was dead, and Ki didn't function, his mind was never on the specifics or causes of the situation. Instead, he just saw people in need, and applied himself as best as he could to help. He used his natural physical gifts to help with every menial labor task he could, and did it with a smile.

With magic (and Ki) slowly returning, the Order sent Fabino to study under Leoske Orsil at the Monastery of the Radiant Cycle on the island in Lake Rossath. They believed it would be better suited to training somebody of his talents. This meant he was outside of Athkatla when the city was invaded. He heard about it too late, and although he wanted to rush to help the victims of the attack, Master Orsil forbade it. Master Orsil said he was not prepared for such a dangerous place, and he would have to train and grow stronger if he had a prayer of surviving in such a hostile environment.

Still, not one to dwell on past sadness, he's dusted himself off and redoubled his training. Although Fabino'd lost his home, the teachings of Lathander teach embracing new beginnings, and he hopes to have found one. Now not only does he seek to help those in need around him, but also to perhaps one day become strong enough to help reclaim his home city from the monsters that hold it, and bring the light of Dawn back to it!

Personal Monastic Disciplines (in no particular order):

1) Wake early every day, so you may start every dawn with praise to Lathander and the rising sun.
2) Do not eat meat. The fruits of the land raised by His radiance are enough.
3) Help those in front of you. Do not lose sight of doing daily good while chasing a greater ideal.
4) Protect and aid children. They are the future, and blessed by Lathander.
5) Do not abide undead. The animated dead are to be pitied and put to rest.
6) Do not take lives lightly. Once a life is taken, there is no new dawn for it.
7) Do not neglect physical training. Through training, we grow. Through growth, we give glory to Lathander.
8) Do not drink alcohol, or use drugs of any kind. A clear mind is required at all times to properly represent the Order
9) Although you may love, do not become entangled in romance. Although you may start a family one day, it is not fair to your children if you are still devoting your life to the Church.
