Background for Sunna / Sunna Hayburrow
Female, Halfling (Lightfoot) Fighter
Having grown up in a Hin farmstead in the Tajarn Hills, as an adolescent Sunna was orphaned when Giants overran the region.
When the giants came, Sunna hid away in a nearby cave, too small for the giants to even fit a hand in. The next morning she tried to find her way to another homestead, only to see one after another in ruins, raided by the hands of the giants. She wandered for some days, trying to find her way free of the Hills, only to be cornered by a Warband of Ogres… she ran and tried to hide, but her Strongheart side’s height betrayed her secrecy and they soon surrounded her. When all seemed too grim to escape, a mounted band of Triadic Knights came to her rescue, slaying the Ogres, but losing one of their number in the battle.
Sunna’s whole extended family had lived and died in the Tejarn Hills. With no one to take her in, she spent her next years in an orphanage run by the clergy of Ilmater in the Monastery of St Domin, near Murann.
Over the years she obsessively dedicated herself to martial training rather then academic studies, to the dissatisfaction, yet stoically accepting manner of her Ilmateri caretakers. Her dream, to become a Triadic Knight as brave and dedicated to protecting the innocent as the one who died saving her.
She has recently come of age to leave the care of the orphanage and seeks to join the Starspire Accord in Murann to guide and train her further towards achieving her dream of becoming a Triadic Knight.
